The Budapest Photography Grant draws attention to photography as an outstanding artistic medium and to its unique documentary value. Established in 2017 and awarded biennially by the Capa Center, the grant provides one year of support for the winning photographer to develop a photographic series about the Hungarian capital based on the theme and concept submitted with their application. In addition to the grant, the photographer is given the opportunity to present their work in a solo exhibition at the Capa Center’s 8F Gallery. The grant also includes the publication of a catalogue accompanying the exhibition.
